RV Shoe Rack from PVC: Keep Things Tidy Around the Entrance
Unless you’re the only inhabitant of your RV, you may have noticed that it’s not just cleanliness that demands things be put away – it’s often an issue of safety. The shoes, boots, sandals, flip-flops, and sneakers that usually get parked near the entrance or other highly-trafficked area of your RV pose a trip hazard – and are certainly an eye sore. If you were like me growing up, you probably didn’t heed your mother’s words when she told you to take off your shoes when you entered the house.
Hanging Shoe Storage For Under $5
A hanging organizer called SKUBB from IKEA some minor customization made into a soft, hanging shoe organizer for several pairs of shoes. This method may not be the best solution where kids(or untidy adults) are involved since it takes actual effort to place the shoes into the pockets. Either way this solution wins for economy!
Wall Mounted Rack for 6 Pairs of Shoes
A wall mounted shoe rack from ½” CPVC pipe fittings from Jeff-Z. He used CPVC because the color went a little better with the RV as opposed to the stark white of PVC. This low profile solution will work well if you have the wall space available in your rig.
Wall Mounted Shoe Organization Rack for Roadtrek Agile.
This shoe storage rack is fabricated from scraps of 1/4 inch thick acrylic plastics and tarp bungee cords to hold the shoes in place. The posts that holds the bungee cords are made from 1/2 inch thick acrylic plastic. The shoe rack was painted black to match the appliances trim colors. 3M double sided tape was used to attach the shoe rack on the wall.
